Don’t Use Social Media to Vent Out Your Frustration – Sandeepa Dhar

Sandeepa Dhar the cute, bubbly and talented actress recently spoke to Telly Chaska about her first break, her favorite Instagram handle, about her riskiest decision and many more.

Sandeepa Dhar made her cinematic debut in Rajshri Production’s Hindi film Isi Life Mein opposite actor Akshay Oberoi. Her performance earned her a best newcomer nomination. Sandeepa is a professionally trained dancer and has won several awards for her dancing as well. She did a cameo in Dabangg 2 and also received critical acclaim for her performance in Sajid Nadiadwala‘s Heropanti.


How do you take the popularity, fame and succeed?

There is nothing to feel about it, as an actor I want to do a different kind of stuff and play a different kind of character on a different kind of platform and I am happy that people like the kind of content I am doing on digitals like Abhay and Flip.

Who did you begin your career and how tough or easy was the journey?

Be an accident! Actually, I never had any plans to be an actor I had quite decided in my head that I will do my graduation from Xavier’s and finish that and then work in a company and do my MBA  so that was the route I was going to take but I think life had a different plan for me. Rajshree came to an offer to me and I decided to give it a try so that when I realize that I enjoy acting and that what I am about to pursue.

Which would be your second career option if not acting?

 There are billions of then I could be doing other than acting I could be doing marketing in a company I could be run a company so I can do anything.

The risky decision you took in your life

This! To become an actor I already had a set life I was already work in a company and plan to work there for two years and then do my MBA abroad and go the corporate way so that was safer for me but be an actor is very very unpredictable so hence I think it’s the biggest decision of my life

How was your first experience in front of the camera?

So I had already done many ads so by the time I did my first film I didn’t have the camera-conscious but of course, acting for film is much different from acting in ads that is something I learned over a period of time I did not know that and I was clueless in my first film.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Raju Hirani, and L Rai

Career dream you haven’t  achieved yet

To begin with I would like to work with the director I have mention

A movie that you like the most and made you cry?

Dangal is the movie which made me emotional.

Suggestion to your fans for a better life

Think I would say that just think positively and don’t use social media to vent out your frustration and don’t troll people, I think people use social media to troll people and to get the frustration out I think that is not fair, it a platform where you don’t know who is writing what, it like drop all the negativity and be more positive.

So do you think you are a social media influencer?

I believe so, don’t I am? I don’t know how much you relate to it or not but I believe I am

Of course, Shah Rukh Khan has been my crush since childhood and then Salman Khan.

Which is your favorite genre?

I don’t have a favorite genre I like the movie as long as it has a good story I will watch it.

If you got a chance to time travel where would you go in time? What would you like to do there?

 I think I wanna go in the past and probably meet a whole lot of people whom I admire like Audrey Hepburn, Jawaharlal Nehru meet this kind of people and see what they were like and how did they turn out to be so amazing
