Avika Gor is going to represent India at Namaste Vietnam Festival

Actress Avika Gor rose to become a popular name on television with shows like Balika Vadhu and the first season of Sasural Simar Ka. The child actress is now all grown up and soon is going to make her Bollywood debut.

Avika Gor was invited as a special guest to the Vietnam Namaste Festival in August. The actor, who will make his Bollywood debut with Vikram Bhatt’s 1920-Horrors of the Heart, will represent India at the festival. Thrilled by this honor and privilege, Avika shares her feelings.

“The festival promises to be very interesting. I represent India and this is a huge responsibility. At the same time, people really liked the characters I played. It was broadcast there. It’s a good opportunity to go and interact with the people and media present there. This is what I am looking forward to,” she says.

Avika has quite a few fans in Vietnam. “My last two visits to Vietnam have been really amazing. I happened to visit Ho Chi Minh City where I visited many news channels and gave many interviews promoting my shows. I also participated in many events where I had to interact with my fans. It just made me realize that there are many people around the world who really get to know me, love me, and appreciate the work I do. I have to work harder and that inspires me every day,” she adds.


The actress is making her Bollywood debut at a time when her overall popularity is on the rise. Avika smiles before adding, “Yes, now that my Bollywood debut ‘1920-Horrors of the Heart’ is coming up and I’m going there with many famous people, so this time it’s a good and big opportunity. And I’m really looking forward to the whole experience this time too.” Avika Gor was the first actress to win Face of the Year in Vietnam and even attended the Cannes Film Festival with her short film Ankahi Baatein.
