Apoorva Arora talks about a fine balance between artist and influencer

At a time when multiple outlets have opened up in the entertainment world, actress Apoorva Arora is definitely making the most of it. Just days after Udan Patola’s Season 2, the actress appeared in Season 3 of the series College Romance where she reprises the role of the female lead in the series. Her cheeky girl-next-door avatar is well-loved by fans.

From starring in movies to creating content with popular YouTube channels, to amazing blockbuster series, she’s had
achievements in everything.

That makes her one of the most popular YouTubers of our generation. But there are times when some YouTubers are stereotyped as “influencers”. Recently, in an exclusive chat, Apoorva spoke to us about the same thing. She said: “I love my job and I’m so grateful to be able to do what I love. I’ve wanted to be a choreographer since I was very young.”

I’ve never really thought about acting, but it just happened to me. After that I realize that this is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I love doing this. I was making films while I was in the early digital content and all the nice filter copy videos I was involved in, OTT seemed to be booming and I changed my focus to it. And the public loves my work. But I think there is a fine line between being an influencer and being an actor, I would like to call myself a artist.”

On the labor front, Apoorva has back-to-back product launches this year. She is currently starring in the highly anticipated series College Romance Season 3, streaming live on the Sony LIV app. Apart from that, she will also appear in Dude Season 2 of Amazon Mini TV and in the movie Motor, Maachis Aur Cutter which will be released soon.
