Kinshuk Mahajan and Neha Rana Seek Divine Blessings at a Gurudwara in Chandigarh Ahead of COLORS’ ‘Megha Barsenge’
COLORS’ new show ‘Megha Barsenge’ sheds light on the often-overlooked issue of abandoned brides left by their husbands shortly after marriage. This family drama revolves around Megha (Neha Rana), a young woman dreaming of a grand wedding. Her dreams are crushed when Manoj (Kinshuk Mahajan) betrays her, leaving her alone. Arjun (Neil Bhatt) steps in as Megha’s confidant and strongest support. Before the show’s launch, Neha Rana and Kinshuk Mahajan visited a Gurudwara in Chandigarh to seek blessings and good luck for their new venture.
Reflecting on the visit, Kinshuk shared, “Visiting a Gurudwara always overwhelms me with emotion. Growing up in a Punjabi family, I often went with my parents to seek blessings and celebrate good news. As I start this new chapter with ‘Megha Barsenge’, the serenity of the Gurudwara brings me comfort. This visit renewed my sense of strength and positivity. I hope the blessings I received will shine through in my portrayal of Manoj and resonate with the audience.”
Neha Rana expressed, “I spent a lot of time in Chandigarh during my shoot for ‘Junooniyatt’, and coming back feels like coming home. Whenever I had the time, I visited the Gurudwara for peace. This visit was not just for blessings but also to express my gratitude for all I am blessed with. Being part of a socially relevant show like ‘Megha Barsenge’ is an honour. At the Gurudwara, I prayed for the strength to do justice to the responsibility of raising awareness about bride abandonment through the show.”
Watch ‘Megha Barsenge’ premiering on August 6th at 7:00 PM only on COLORS!
