Abhishek Malik on Breaking Traditions in Jamai No. 1: “I Never Thought I’d Do a Griha Pravesh Like This!”

Marriage comes with its fair share of surprises, but for Abhishek Malik’s character, Neel, in Zee TV’s Jamai No. 1, it’s a complete role reversal! Circumstances lead Neel to move into his wife Riddhi’s (played by Simaran Kaur) home, making him the ultimate Ghar Jamai. But what truly shakes things up is him performing the very rituals traditionally meant for brides!

From pushing the kalesh with his foot to stepping into kumkum and leaving his footprints at the entrance, Neel experiences every bit of the newlywed traditions—just with a unique twist!
