‘Amruta is going to kill the stage’- Nia Sharma on being part of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa

Nia Sharma who has been always vocal about her thoughts and was a part of many shows Like Ek Hazaroo me Meri Behana and Jamai Raja and many web series is soon going to be seen in Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’s upcoming season on Colors. She seems to be very nervous about the show and candid about things that will be seen on the show. Here take a look-

Nia, how are you feeling being a part of the show?

I’m super happy. As happy as I can be. The minute I got a call from team Jhalak to be a part of the show, I was very happy. I realized that I can’t always sit on the couch and watch TV on all the time. I have a bigger motive to serve and that one call changed my life.

We have seen you portray lots of characters on television so how is this going to depict you in terms of dance?

I’ve never learned any dance form at all professionally. So that is something that I want to see myself on TV. How do I look while performing any dance form? So yeah learning is the motive right now.

So what are the viewers going to see Nia in which dance styles?

Every week we will be given themes and dance forms to be performed according so if I do even 50% of that ill be more than happy to do so. The choreographers will be helping us. Performing that 3 min act and not going breathless is important. I want to learn that I become breathless easily.

What difficulties are you going to go through since you are not a professional dancer?

It’s not that I’m not a dancer. I’m here to learn. I want my competitors to see completion in me and stand with them. We have a lot of time to try out new things and we have rehearsal halls and a team who will teach you so even though I’m not trained ill try my best to win the show.

Who do you think is a tough competition on Jhalak?

We have Amruta who is going to kill the stage. We have Gashmeer, Rubina who is also an exceptional dancer. I’m very nervous since it will go difficult week after week and I don’t want to be like ‘ok things are not working so I go back…no’. I want to be there in the finale. So there is a lot of pressure on me.

If you have been following the show, tell us who was your favorite dancer on the show.

I saw Drishti who did very well and then there were Salman and Lauren who were like this hottest couple. When they use to dance sensuality was flowing everywhere. So I look up to them as an inspiration.

Lastly, who is your choreographer for the show?

Well, my choreographer is Tarun Raj. I never met him and saw them dancing. So, when I met him was not on the floor, I was in the air doing some aerial act and losing balance. So he will be choreographing and it’s going to be fun.
