Anjali Tatrari – “I Left My Bombay Comfort For This Role.”

Anjali Tatrari shares a very brief conversation with us where she mentions a whole lot of stuff about her playing the lead role in the new show, Vanshaj. So let’s get started!

Firstly, congratulating her we ask her about the roles she picks which are relaatble much to the audience especially the girls out there?

“See she is a simple girl who has aspirations like no other girl. Her character’s name is Yuvika Mahajan. Her family is enough for her. She is unfortunately put in a position where patriarchy plays a role and takes a toll from there on, where she has to challenges the Mahajans. Yes, I do pick such roles where I need to first get in touch with and then I can resonate and delivers out a strong message to the audience. Well mostly impart and learn the message I’m trying to deliver through my character.”

How did this character actually happen to you because certainly your name was rumored for a reality show?

” Conciously after the last show I had taken a break because I had been working continuously for the past 3-4 years, Covid first happened and thereon we all know what has been going and how, so I couldn’t take a break which I needed to that’s why conciously I took a break for myself. Obviously, I wanted to come back with a bang so here it is as there were so many messages flooding with what is up with me exactly. Touchwood, I got a call from Swastik for the role. At first I had my inhibitions about the role and project but when I heard about the character and the content, story line that I actually left my Bombay comfort zone and came all the way to Umargaon to shoot this beauty.”

How would you describe the leaving of comfort zone, success wise?

” Definitely it was the right thing to do. I didn’t know at first that it was such a big show. Now you name a city or a corner, there are hoardings all over the place so obviously it’s a big show for me and a big show for the channel and production house. It is very rare that I get such a big opportunity so I don’t mind leaving my comfort zone and here also we’ve all been welcomed really well and the people here are good too. Touchwood, everything is good.”

What do you have to say about Mahir? How’s the offscreen bond?

” Offscreen also we are fighting and arguing. We actually play DJ and Yuvika behind the camera but not really. We are good friends as such offscreen too, It’s just that being in that character for a while puts you in a zone and the daringness we have for eachother in reel life as siblings goes ahead after cut in offscreen also. He is a lovely guy to work with.”

Lastly, message for your fans and viewers since you’re coming with a bang.

” Fans and viewers are very happy eagerly waiting for the 12th. They’ve adored me since the first show, so please watch Vanshaj. So just keep showering the love that you all have been giving me. Thank you!”
