DID Super Moms: Urmila Matondkar Left Teary Eyed Because Of This Moment

After receiving an overwhelming response to the previous two seasons that introduced audiences to some truly exceptional moms whose dancing skills can give even the younger dancers a run for their money, Zee TV recently launched the 3rd edition of its popular non-fiction show– DID Super Moms.  Airing Saturdays and Sundays, the new season has an exciting panel of judges – Remo D’Souza, Bhagyashree Dassani and Urmila Matondkar to mentor and guide the talented moms through their journey and help them achieve their dancing dreams.

While the top 12 contestants have mesmerised one and all with their enchanting performances week after week, this weekend, during the Bollywood Queens special episode, viewers will have a blast as Badshah and  Payal Dev will be seen gracing the show as special guests. While all the Super Moms put their best foot forward during the shoot, it was Sadika Khan Shaikh’s delightful performance to Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya that caught everyone’s attention. In fact, the talented contestant along with her choreographer Vivek dedicated their graceful performance to Urmila Matondkar. Watching her heart-warming act, judge Urmila got teary-eyed. She was so emotional, that she couldn’t even utter a word. But that’s not it! After a long pause, the actress finally gathered herself and mentioned how the act had actually reminded her of the time when Feroz Khan called her to praise her performance in Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya.

As Urmila mentioned, “The act was so beautiful that I had tears in my eyes. Definitely, the performance was very moving. In fact, during this act, I was going through a rollercoaster of emotions. At some moments I was in awe and at others, I was getting teary-eyed. Today, I can say that I am proud of the fact that I am a judge on this show and I get the opportunity to see such soul-stirring acts.”

Urmila further added, “I still remember, before the launch of this movie, we had held a special screening of the film. I could not go to the screening because I was shooting somewhere else, but I got a call from the late Feroz Khan that night and he said, ‘You made me cry girl and I don’t like crying.’ This performance reminded me of that moment, so thank you so much.”
