Exclusive! “I’m Self Critical When It Comes To My Work”, Sunayana Fozdar

Sunayana Fozdar who is popular by the name Anjali Mehta from the popular show Taarak Mehta ka Uolta Chasmaa. The actress is set to direct many documentaries along with acting. Telly Chaska team got in touch with the actress about her projects and her debut with direction.

Sunayana tells us how have you been and what are your plans with any upcoming projects.

Currently, I’m doing which is Tarak Mehta, and apart from I’d like to talk about many other things like I’ve started exploring writing. I have been directing and writing short films but also writing in the process. I’m thinking and exploring that genre.

You are donning many hats like directing and acting. So how are you managing so many things?

Firstly there are many things in my personal life as well. So I’m hustling. In the end, if I’m tired I’m happy because as a person I don’t like to stay stagnant, there should be constant work to keep me going. Even if someone says take a day off I cant. This keeps me going because instead of keeping my head indulged in something stupid I keep myself busy. that’s how I Am.

We say you in Agent Raghav and Belaanwali Bahu. So how do you select your project? What is your thought process?

I’ll be honest. I’m not somebody who can stay at home or wait for some time to get a good project. I’m not somebody who comes from any industry. So for me, I like to work constantly. Things have worked out. Universe has a workaround for me.

How do you deal with trolls?

We are constant in limelight and on a platform where people will troll us no matter what we do. So we collectively take it but that doesn’t bother me at all. My work speaks for me.
