Sony SAB’s new show Dil Diyaan Gallaan, which premieres December 12, tells the story of families separated by physical and emotional distance. The show shows the migration-related separation of families and the resulting disputes. Mandeep (played by Sandeep Baswana) and Dilpreet (played by Pankaj Berry) play two wayward people on the show. Mandeep’s decision to settle in a new country to follow his dreams sparks a conflict between him and his father (Dilpreet), souring ties between the successful shows he directed.

On Sony’s upcoming SAB show, he will play the role of Dilpreet, a selfish and confident old man who is also upset that his eldest son has not lived up to his expectations. Identical to the plot, even in real life, Pankaj’s (Arjun Berry) son is set to travel to Canada to continue his studies and is about to face the same test as his character on the show. Undoubtedly, experiencing the story in real life has given the actor a new perspective on the character’s nuances.
In a recent conversation with actor Pankaj Berry, he shared, “I understand Dilpreet’s feelings because my son Arjun He is traveling will soon be a new world for higher education. The agony of seeing his beloved son leave him is something many parents dread.

I think it’s important to have conversations with your children to understand their interests and all we can do as parents are to support them. On the show, we hope to highlight the unspoken feelings that lead to a rift within the family. I can totally understand and identify with Dilpreet as I’m going through a similar situation in my private life where my son is moving abroad.”

Tune in for the premiere of Dil Diyaan Gallaan on 12th June December, Monday to Saturday at 7:30 p.m. only at Sony SAB
