Marathi Mulgi Sayali Salunkhe Shares Reel & Real Similarities.
Sayli Salunkhe, known as Vandana Karmarkar from Star Plus’s ‘Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si,’ shares how her personal life aligns with her character’s journey. The show, a musical love story produced by Rajan Shahi, intertwines Marathi and Punjabi cultures. The storyline follows the collision of worldviews between two middle-aged individuals from diverse backgrounds, with music playing a pivotal role in their path.
In the series, Mohit Malik portrays a Punjabi character, reflecting his real-life background, while Sayli Salunkhe embodies the role of a Marathi girl. Sayli, much like her on-screen character, is a Maharashtrian in reality as well.
Reflecting on her portrayal of Vandana, Sayli Salunkhe says, ‘Vandana Karmarkar is a character close to my heart, embodying both directness and vulnerability. She’s driven by her passion and embraces her unconventional voice with confidence, setting her apart. Just like Vandana, I share a similar dynamic with my on-screen father, mirroring my relationship with my real father. With a cast representing both Maharashtrian and Punjabi cultures, on-screen and off-screen worlds blend harmoniously. We hope the audience embraces our show with love and appreciation.’
‘Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si’ is set to premiere on August 21st at 9:00 PM on Star Plus. The series stars Mohit Malik and Sayli Salunkhe in the lead roles.”
