Star Plus’s Anupamaa team initiates BaatKaro and BaatKarneDo Campaign!!

Star Plus’ Anupamaa is about Anupamaa, a  strong, independent, and ambitious woman whose goals are in line with her family’s upbringing. Time and again she has defied all odds and taught several Indian female viewers the importance of taking a stand for yourself and living life on your terms. Now, in the latest episode, Anupamaa does her best to save a rape victim and gives her shelter. When she and her family are threatened by the perpetrators, Anupamaa, the -strong woman, does not lack perseverance and welcomes the victim with open arms.

Regarding this, Rupali Ganguly says I am very, very proud that I’m part of a show that addresses the issues people shudder to talk about.

People want to sweep problems under the rug and forget about them. I am glad that we are raising issues that need to be addressed. My producer is very brave to choose a topic like this. I am proud that Star Plus supports this and has helped to shed light on this topic. The goal was to get people out of their comfort zone and say, “Hey, that happened.”

And what better way to say it than saying it through Anupama?”
He further added: “The idea behind this topic was that these things have been going on for years but are still being talked about at of our current action is considered taboo, we want people to feel comfortable talking about such things.”

The idea behind this latest development in Anupamaa history was to encourage people to talk about to speak such abuses. The creators presented the campaign slogans #BaatKaro and #BaatKarneDo will make it easier for Indian families to find a place to talk about these issues.
