“There Was No Reference To The Character”- Amandeep Sidhu

Amandeep Sidhu will be seen playing the role of Chandni in the show Chasni. She recently spoke about her challenges and how much she prepping up for her character in the show.

Firstly we would like to congratulate for this new show. So what would you like to say about your character because promo is much liked by the audience.

Thank you so much. Ofcourse it’s a big show, very different show and people are liking it very much. I have many expectation from the show and definitely it’s very different for audience as well to watch it on television. There is one sister who will be seen as mother-in-law in the show and other sister is fire fighter. So people will like it because it’s very fresh and raw for the people.

What were the challenges that you have faced till know while portraying characters like these?

Definitely when I got yo know i felt little challenging. Whenever you are playing some character it is being said that you watch certain movie. So that you get an idea about your character. With this character I had no reference i didn’t knew what to do and how to do. So I am just going with the gut feeling, whatever my gut feeling says I am performing like that. Also it’s very raw character and in the story also it is shown that there is a girl who is fire fighter and there is a big reason behind it. Once she establishes her self as the fire fighter she needs to face a lot of difficulties because all she can see is a lot of men working around. Also her boss tortures her ans there is no washroom around her. So if I enter a where there are man around how would that situation be I am reacting like that only. Also due to Chandni Amandeep has become more powerful in real life.

While performing stunts in the show, did you have to face any injury?

NO. Nothing like that happened because precautions were being taken. We work with safety and team is much more tensed then me. I Still remember I had to ride a bike and my creative asked me that will I be able to ride a bike? I said that I have done this before as well in my earlier show. Then they were like will call the dupe and will ask them to ride a bike. So then I said them that I have to show them it’s real and I will do it. Then they made a video and sent to the producer that she can do it. So the team is very much concerned. Ofcourse, body needs more strength and stamina. So for that I am working little extra,taking good diet, doing yoga. In that matter taking a lot of care for myself.

Did you require much time to take switch from one character to other?

Ofcourse, I was excited. It was Starplus show and it was my dream. Also, I got to know about the production house and Sandip Sickand sir, so everything was good and positive. Also when I got to know about my character I was awstruck. So I didn’t require much time to do this because there were so many things that a story and character could portray.

What would you like to say about bonding and first impression about your co-actor?

First Impression with Srishti aka Roshni was at the mock shoot I remember. With Sai there was no mock shoot we met at a reading only. They both are good actors and we are veey helpful to each other. God has been really kind that we have got such good co-actors. Every scene we do we try to give our inputs and try to make it more realistic.

What message you would like to give to the audience who are liking the promo very much?

Actually I am getting a lot of good reviews and feedbacks after the promo. We will give our best to entertain you guys. If you are with us till 11 p.m. then you will not be bored because it’s full of drama, story and liveliness.
